TagMaps Terms of Service
Draft updated: October 5, 2026. Not yet effective.
Draft status and operator
These Terms are prepared for review and are not yet effective. The service operator is named TagMaps ("TagMaps", "we" or "us"). No LLC, corporation or other entity designation is stated. Applicable jurisdiction and a general service contact remain to be confirmed before publication. No governing law, arbitration requirement or liability cap has been assumed.
1. Using TagMaps
TagMaps helps people discover and share location tags about offerings, needs, services and interests. Public browsing is available without an account. Account-owned actions and messaging require sign-in. Use the service only if you can legally enter the applicable agreement, or have the permission and supervision required by law. When acting for an organization, you must have authority to do so.
2. Accounts
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and do not share or use another person's account without authorization. You are responsible for your own use of the service. Google sign-in is optional and is handled by Google and Supabase. Report suspected unauthorized access through the contact provided with the final Terms.
3. Your tags, photos and messages
You retain your rights in the content you submit. You must have permission to share it, including any location, image or personal information concerning other people. To operate TagMaps, you grant the service permission to store, process and display your content to the audiences you select, and to deliver messages to conversation participants. This permission is limited to operating the service and ends for removed content subject to necessary backup, security and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy. It does not transfer ownership of your content.
4. Public and private sharing
Anyone can view and copy active public tags, including their coordinates, descriptions and photos. Private tags are excluded from public discovery, but any signed-in person with the exact private link can view them. Recipients may forward the link or copy content. Private sharing is not an invitation-only list. Changing visibility invalidates the existing private link. Messages are available to conversation participants and are not end-to-end encrypted. Choose your audience carefully and do not publish locations or information you do not have permission to disclose.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use TagMaps for unlawful activity, scams, impersonation, harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual exploitation, infringement of others' rights or disclosure of someone's private information without authorization. Do not submit misleading tags, unsolicited bulk messages, malicious files or content that promotes illegal goods or services. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, enumerate private links, access another person's data, interfere with the service or evade restrictions. Report concerns through the contact provided with the final Terms; do not use TagMaps as an emergency reporting channel.
6. Location accuracy and safety
Tags and messages are submitted by users and can be inaccurate, outdated or misleading. A tag is not verification, endorsement or a guarantee that a person, business, offering or location is legitimate, available or safe. Independently check information before traveling or arranging a meeting. Follow local laws and property-access rules, avoid trespassing and use appropriate care when interacting with other people. TagMaps is not an emergency service or a navigation-safety system.
7. Third-party services and transactions
Google Maps, Google sign-in, external navigation apps and other linked services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. A tag or message does not make TagMaps a party to an agreement between users. TagMaps currently does not process purchases or payments. Any transaction arranged outside TagMaps is between the relevant parties; confirm their identity and terms independently.
8. Expiry, deletion and service restrictions
Expiry removes a tag from discovery while retaining it inactive in the owner's history. You can explicitly delete your own tags or account using the available controls. Deleting content cannot recall copies other people have already received. The Privacy Policy explains active-database deletion and provider-retention limitations. TagMaps may restrict access or remove content when needed to address violations, security risks or legal requirements. No particular moderation tool, response time or appeal process is promised by this draft.
9. Availability and responsibility
TagMaps may experience outages, errors, lost access or changes to features. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, accuracy of user content or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Any additional liability provisions require review against the confirmed operator and jurisdiction before publication.
10. Privacy, changes and contact
Read the TagMaps Privacy Policy for how account, location, tag, photo and messaging information is handled. Privacy requests can be sent to privacy@tagmaps.co. Material changes to the final Terms will be dated and communicated as required by applicable law; simply editing a page does not override rights or notice requirements. The service operator is TagMaps. A verified general service contact and any applicable governing-law or dispute provisions remain pending review before publication.
Read the Privacy Policy.
